Avonworth Youth Wrestling program is open to anyone up to age 14.  We believe in teaching the younger wrestlers Basics and normally separate the inexperienced Practices from the Practices with the experienced wrestlers.  When the Coaching staff feel the younger wrestler/wrestlers are ready then they will work them into one practice with the more experienced wresters.  The experienced wrestler will work on the more advanced moves but we never forget about the basics being that those basics are what all the great wrestlers do the best. 

The Youth Program takes part in the North Hills Wrestling League. This League Consists of teams from Allegheny and Butler Counties.  They also Practice and compete in Tournaments on the weekends and wrestle in the Area 7 Qualifiers for the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Association.  All this is so that your Young wrestler can grow and work toward wrestling on the Jr. High and Varsity teams.
